About us

Our Therapists

At Counseling Amsterdam, psychologist Jeannette Bolck and physical therapist, psychomotor therapist, and former Olympic coach Louis Wijdenbosch work from a shared Brain & Body vision.

Their collaboration grew from what they both missed in separate mental and physical care. Jeannette brings psychological depth, emotional insight, and relational understanding. Louis brings physical assessment, movement, recovery, and body-based regulation.

Together, their different backgrounds create a complementary approach that helps clients reconnect thoughts, emotions, physical responses, and behaviour in daily life.

Hello! I am Jeannette Bolck

Licensed NIP Psychologist

Jeannette Bolck is a licensed NIP psychologist, founder of Counseling Amsterdam, and co-developer of the Brain & Body Method.

With over 20 years of experience, she helps individuals and couples understand emotional patterns, relationship dynamics, stress sensitivity, burnout, identity, and hormonal-related challenges.

Her work combines clear psychological insight with a grounded, body-aware way of working. As a former Aussie expat herself, Jeannette has a special interest in supporting internationals.

She also facilitates women’s health groups focused on emotional regulation, hormonal cycles, perimenopause, PMDD, and the experiences and patterns that shape us.

Hello! I am Louis Wijdenbosch

Brain-Body Coach & Physical Therapist & Former Olympic Coach

Louis Wijdenbosch is a physical therapist, psychomotor therapist (PMT), former Olympic coach, and co-developer of the Brain & Body Method together with psychologist Jeannette Bolck.

With more than 25 years of experience, he works with the connection between physiology, psychology, behaviour, stress, recovery, and nervous system regulation.

Louis translates insights from elite sports, physical therapy, and psychomotor therapy into practical tools that help people understand how movement, breathing, recovery, and body awareness influence emotional and mental wellbeing.

He believes resilience is not reserved for athletes — it is a trainable human capacity. He also applies this expertise at The Tides BrainBody Wellness Academy, where he develops treatment programs and professional training.
